Our Trip To Rossendale

Across the 29th and 30th of April, the Pharmora team swapped desks for gardening gloves and headed to Macclesfield Community Tree Nursery for two afternoons of hands-on volunteering.
At the Rossendale Trust, the nursery grows trees from locally collected seeds to help improve green spaces and make the local area an even nicer place to live, so it felt like a fitting place for the team to lend a hand.
Over the course of the visit, the team got stuck into a wide range of jobs including watering and large tree repotting to name a few.
Thankfully, there were tea breaks and lollies to keep energy levels topped up between the heavier lifting and finer nursery work, and by the end of the two days there was a real sense that something worthwhile had been achieved.
Beyond the practical jobs completed, it was rewarding for the team to spend time outdoors and contribute in a small but meaningful way to the environment and wider community. Overall, everybody had a good time, and it was a lovely reminder that giving back does not always need a grand gesture; sometimes it simply involves a group of people happy to pitch in.
